CURRENT STATUS

The Yutiq product website says the product is no longer available as of July 1, 2026.

This is an important example of why MedicineCostHelp monitors more than payer policies. A payer policy can continue to mention an older product after the manufacturer has stopped making it available. The current Yutiq website now states that the product is no longer available and tells patients to ask their doctor about options.

The current DailyMed labeling record remains published and identifies Yutiq as a 0.18 mg fluocinolone acetonide intravitreal implant for chronic non-infectious uveitis affecting the posterior segment of the eye. A published label or old authorization pathway does not establish current commercial availability.

IF YUTIQ IS STILL ON YOUR RECORD OR AUTHORIZATION

Do not assume an old coverage approval means the product can still be obtained.

Ask the treating ophthalmology team

Confirm which currently available treatment, if any, the clinician considers appropriate. MedicineCostHelp does not recommend substitutions.

Ask the insurer

If an authorization or denial names Yutiq, ask whether a new request is required for the currently selected product.

Re-check coding

Legacy payer policies identify J7314 for Yutiq. A new product choice may have a different HCPCS code, units and authorization path.

Re-check assistance

Do not rely on an old Yutiq assistance reference. First identify the actual current product, then use that product's live assistance resources.

WHY OLD POLICIES MAY STILL SAY YUTIQ

Coverage documents and product availability change on different schedules.

Aetna CPB 0719 currently addresses Retisert, Yutiq and Iluvien and lists J7314 for Yutiq when selection criteria are met. UnitedHealthcare has also published intravitreal corticosteroid implant coverage criteria that include Yutiq. Those documents are useful for understanding prior coverage pathways, but neither overrides the manufacturer site's current availability notice.

RELATED MEDICINE GUIDES

These products are related, but they are not interchangeable just because they contain fluocinolone.

Important

This page preserves a useful public path for patients whose records, old authorizations or searches still reference Yutiq. MedicineCostHelp does not recommend a replacement treatment. The treating ophthalmologist should determine the clinical option, and the insurer should confirm the coverage path for the actual current product.
